Spirulina is a biomass of cyanobacteria, also known as blue green algae it is highly
nutritious containing Amino acids Lysine, Phenylalanine, Tyrosine, Leucine,
Methionine, Glutamic acid, Aspartic acid, and 6 different omega fatty acids, vitamins
and minerals such as β‐Carotene, vitamin A, Thiamine (B1),B2,Niacin (B3), B6,
B12,Foliate, Iron, calcium, magnesium, potassium etc.
Making this an ideal feed to add to your reef tank for corals, other Invertebrates and
micro-organisms such as copepods, isopods, amphipods making them highly
enriched before your fish/ corals eat them.
We also recommend Spirulina to be fed to larval feeds as it has been showed to
lower mortalities and promote growth and development of fish larvae as they enrich
the zooplankton with everything the fish needs to grow.
